Jack Horner and the Dark Forces first draft: Part Two

Jack was happy to see the cabin again. He hadn't seen it for a year, and was excited. As he helped unload the car of all the camping equipment, he thought, I am definitely going to get the bed this year.
There was only one bed in the cabin. It was not very comfortable, but it was better than the roll-up mattresses that they had brought.
"So, who gets the bed this year?"asked Roger, after they had brought all the sleeping bags and stuff in.
This erupted into shouts of, "Me!" "You got it last year!" "But there are four of us." "So?"
Marie, who didn't understand what all the arguing was about, yelled, "No, I get the bed!"
Roger, Joy, and Jack all turned to look at her, startled by her outburst.
"Well, I guess she's never had it..." Roger said.
"Yeah..." agreed Joy. "Okay, Marie gets it!"
"Okay," Jack retorted, "But I get it next year!" ...And before you could say 'No way,' they had started fighting again.
Jack went out the next day to take a walk. He had walked two feet into the forest, when he heard a growling noise. He went back to get his walking stick.
When he had been walking for maybe ten minutes, he heard it again: a low, growling noise that might've been grumbling. He thought it came from the sky. Jack looked up, and there, on a high tree branch, was a four-foot-tall fisher.
